Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding is a British musician and singer. She was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986, in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 thanks to her irresistible electronic pop songs "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the cutting edge as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap, of mainstream contemporary music, and independent, artistic pop. Her soprano voice as well as her ability to write emotionally authentic songs are what make her distinct. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a contract. Her debut album was set to release.
