sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was christened Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan on July 6 June, 1946. He's the son of Italian-born Francesco "Frank" Stallone Jr, a hairdresser, and Jackie Stallone, an astrologer and dancer. Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother is an actor musician, and hairdresser. Due to complications during childbirth, Sylvester's lower left side was paralyzed. This gave him the famed "snarling" speech, slurred words and distinctive appearance. Due to the tense family dynamics between his parents, Stallone spent his first years in foster care. Later, the couple split. Stallone was a drama student at the American College in Switzerland before making the move to the University of Miami. Stallone quit school to pursue acting in New York City.
